Tiltyu is the middle child of Grandbellian house Freege. Her mother died when she was five, so she's been essentially raised by her father and the servants. Her childhood wasn't perfect, but it was calm despite her father's tendencies for competitive dramatics where politics were concerned. Her childhood friends are Lex of Dozel and Azel of Velthomer, she would eventually fall in love with the latter.

Tiltyu is NOT the sweet, quiet princess you normally hear about. Sure, she can be girly and ladylike and delicate, but it doesn't cover what she really is-a bundle of energy with a spark that could generate a small country. She's highly emotional, she could be crying and sulking about something one minute, then going "yay~!!!" about something the next. She's stubborn, kind of a spoiled brat, rather petulant, and has a definite tomboy streak.

But in spite of all that, Tiltyu is at heart, a kind and loving girl, if not overbearing. She cares deeply for her friends and family, and is always willing to lend a helping hand to prevent anyone from getting hurt. She's also very affectionate.

She has an introspective side as well, and is easily depressed when faced with a hopeless (or even seemingly hopeless) situation, like war or the prospect of losing a friend or loved one.

The day she got whisked to the Island, she was in Silesia, helping Sir Sigurd of Chalphy and his army take out some traitorous nobles. Seems one of the mages cast the Blizzard spell and it was strong enough to blow her away!
